Creating Ticket Types Manually
Ticket types need to be created for each different ticket price you offer. They can then be grouped together and added to showtimes to offer multiple prices to a showtime (for example, Adult, Senior, and Child).
- From the Dashboard, navigate to Scheduler > Ticket Types
- Click "Add New"
- Fill out the title and price
- If you want the ticket type to be available for staff to sell, but not available on the website, check "Box Office" under "Available On Stations". Otherwise you can leave the boxes unchecked to keep the availability unlimited.
- Seat Limit should usually be left blank, but if you need to limit a particular ticket type's quantity per showtime, enter a limit there. Once that limit is reached on a showtime, the ticket type will automatically be disconnected from the showtime.
- If you have created some ticket type groups, you can select them in the right sidebar.
- Click Publish and the ticket type will be available to attach to showtimes.
Comp Tickets
If you need staff to be able to issue comp tickets (we're pretty sure you do!), be sure to create a Comp ticket type that is set to price $0 and only has "Box Office" checked under "Available On Stations". Be sure to add this ticket type to every ticket type group or manually add it to every showtime. Comp tickets can be issued and emailed via the website checkout if you are logged in, or via the Virtual Box Office. See Issuing Comp Tickets.
