Uploading Video Assets
Create and upload the Video Asset.
- Go to Video Assets > Add New.
- Enter a Title and Save.
- Click Request CineSend Portal URL: Generate a portal URL where the file can be directly uploaded to CineSend. You can use this URL yourself if you have a copy of the media, or you can send this link to a filmmaker to upload the media themselves
- Choose a Still Image (optional)
- When uploading a file or via URL, you have the option to upload a 1920x1080 Still Image or leave it blank. This will show in the VOD Rental player, or during the few seconds while the video loads during Online Showtimes.
- When uploading via the CineSend Portal, the individual uploading the film content will have the option to also upload a Still image. That image will automatically be pulled into this field if it's added before the video is done encoding.
- Click Save!
Step 3. Associate the video assets with the appropriate Movie, Program or Special Event.
- Create connections on the Video Asset: Choose the Show (ie. the movie, program or special event) your asset should be associated with.
- OR Go to the Movie, Program or Special Event edit page > Scroll down to Video Assets > Select the correct assets > Save.
- Once all associations are made, go to the Movie, Program or Special Event edit page, and be sure to drag and drop the order of video assets on each one, then click Save.
- If you're using the Video Asset in an Online Showtime, and you've already created the Showtime, then you need to re-save the showtime to update the playlist:
- Go to Movies > Showtimes > Click Edit for each individual showtime > Save. Make sure the correct assets now show up in the Main Show Playlist.
