Creating Venues Manually

For in-person Showtimes, Venues should be thought of as the buildings or locations where your Showtimes take place.

For online Showtimes, Venues should be thought of as the online location where the Showtime is taking place.

Auditoriums are then assigned to Venues, and Showtimes to Auditoriums.

Creating a Venue for In-Person Showtimes

From the Dashboard, navigate to Scheduler → Venues.
On the left side of the screen, enter a name for the Venue. You can leave the slug field blank, and one will be generated for you from the name. You can also customize one if you'd rather control the URL to the Venue on your website.
Once you click the Add New Venue button, the Venue will show up in the list on the right side. Click Edit to fill out more details about the Venue, such as image, description, Google Map URL, etc.

A tip about the Google Map URL is that it'll work best if you have a URL to the Google Map "Place". You can make sure you have this by clicking on the name of the Venue on Google Maps itself, and ensuring that the url you copy starts with https://www.google.com/maps/place/

Creating a Venue for Online Showtimes

From the Dashboard, navigate to Scheduler → Venues.
On the left side of the screen, enter a name for the Venue, such as "[Your Festival] Website". If you are having any online events on other platforms, such as Facebook or YouTube, you can name them here. You can leave the slug field blank, and one will be generated for you from the name. You can also customize one if you'd rather control the URL to the Venue on your website.
Once you click the Add New Venue button, the Venue will show up in the list on the right side. Click Edit to fill out more details about the Venue, we recommend putting "How to Watch" instructions in the description of any online Venue.
