Team Roles and Capabilities

Your Filmbot site comes with a number of roles which you can use to assign pre-defined sets of capabilities to different members of your team.

We designed the roles we offer based on years of experience working with various teams, so it's likely they'll work for you out of the box. However, if you find that the default roles are not working well for your team structure, please email us at support@filmbot.com and we can help make recommendations or even install custom roles for you to use.

List of Roles

Administrator

This role has is the highest possible level of access and should be reserved for owners and employees entrusted with the most responsibilities.

Manager

This role should typically be assigned to managers who run the day-to-day business of the festival, but who would still need to consult with an administrator before making changes to critical settings.

Lead Staff

This role should typically be assigned to staff who have some elevated responsibilities, compared to  other festival staff, such as the staff member who is assigned to closing at night, or who would handle customer service issues when the Manager is not there.

Staff

The Staff role should be assigned to general festival employees who need to be able to use the Box Office app.

Programmer

The Programmer role should be assigned to senior members of your team who decide programming, populate the website content, schedule showtimes, write blog posts, and/or generate reports.

Accountant

The accountant role can be assigned to any user who needs access to sales data and reports.
