Configuring Rentals Settings

While logged in as an Administrator, navigate to Settings > Rentals and complete the following fields:

  • How to Watch Page
    Please be sure to create a How To Watch page and select this page in the dropdown. A link to this page will be displayed above the rental player.
  • CineSend Test Page
    After you create and publish a page with the CineSend Test Page template, select that page here. A link to your test page will show on the Rental Watch page so that viewers can confirm their browser compatibility before attempting to view a VOD Rental. 

    To create the CineSend test page, create a new page, and choose "CineSend Test Page" as the template. It's a page where a short DRM video is embedded, and viewers can try playing it to make sure they are using a compatible browser.
  • Single Rental Pass Default Button Text
    This text will appear within the purchase button on single-show Rental Passes, in the Purchase Options box. It will default to "Rental" unless you enter something else. Note that the price of the rental will automatically display beside this text within the button, e.g. "Rental - $10.00". If the show is not available to watch yet, the text "(Preorder)" will also be added.
  • Default Rental Pass Order Confirmation Text
    This language will appear on the screen immediately following a successful Rental Pass purchase, as well as in the email confirmation. Best practice includes thanking the customer for their purchase and including a link to the How To Watch instructions page.
    • Note: You do not need to include "check your email" or any similar text—we automatically output information about the email above this confirmation text on the confirmation page.
  • Rental Pass Checkout Terms
    These are Terms & Conditions the customer will need to accept by checking the box to complete their Rental Pass purchase.
